Chinese Presbyterian Church

WORSHIP Worship is at the heart of our Christian life.  We gather on Sundays at 11:00 am to praise God in prayer, scripture, song, and sermon.  

Children are always welcome to stay in the worship service.  We also offer:

• Cry Room for families with small children
• Children's Church and Sunday School during the 11:00 hour
• Staffed nursery     

SUNDAY SCHOOL 

• Adults meet in the library to study with Mrs. Pearl Hom (English)
• 6th-8th Grade students meet in the library (Blue Fish curriculum)
• Kindergarden through 5th grade (in two classes) use a variety of approaches--games, computer software, drama, movies, visits from the storyteller, and

• High School students meet after church with Emma Wood

FELLOWSHIP TIME

You will never find stale doughnuts and weak coffee at Chinese Presbyterian!

We have great food at coffee time -- and even more important, we have friendly people who look forward to getting to know you!!!  On the first Sunday of every month we have our own version of a jazz brunch.  Some Sundays we enjoy Chinese dim sum and some times we eat American hot dogs.  Always we enjoy the time together!

• First Sunday coffee time includes great music in the Fellowship Hall!
  

We celebrate special days with congregational meals and programs:

• Second Sunday before Christmas: Children's program during worship and congregational meal at a Chinese restaurant
• Sunday before Christmas: Cantata sung by the adult choir and a glorious potluck lunch in the Fellowship Hall
• Christmas Day Vespers service (candlelight and communion) 5 pm
• Ash Wednesday, 7:30 pm, with ashes
• Maundy Thursday Communion Service
• Easter Egg Hunt, Easter Story, Activities the day before Easter, 10 am
• Easter Cantata sung by the adult choir
• Mother's Day and Father's Day--lunch and program
• Sunday before Fourth of July--lunch and program
